Welcome to Verdens Sirener's site for UN International Mother Language Day.
Just like in previous years, the Sirens of the World are holding an event on the occasion of UN International Mother Language Day.
It will be on February 21st from 17.00.
The event will be held in Biblioteket, Rentemestervej 76, 2400 KBH NV . There will be various artists and the Verdens Sirener will perform.
There will also be different language booths where people will tell about their language.
As something new this year, there will be an opportunity to get taste samples at the different language booths.
Regarding what UN International Mother Language Day is, here is an excerpt from the UN home page:
"International Mother Language Day recognizes that languages and multilingualism can advance inclusion, and the Sustainable Development Goals’ focus on leaving no one behind. believes education, based on the first language or mother tongue, must begin from the early years as early childhood care and education is the foundation of learning."
